During his 31 year career in the U.S. Marines, BGen Sandkuhler served in many leadership capacities, most recently as Staff Judge Advocate to the Commandant of the Marine Corps from 2001 to 2006, headquartered in
Mr. Sandkuhler received a B.A. degree from the College of Holy Cross, Worcester, MA in 1975; a J.D. from California Western School of Law in San Diego in 1981; and a Masters of Law in Government Contract Law from George Washington University, Washington D.C. in 1991. He is also a 1994 graduate of the U.S. Army War College.
His military honors include: Distinguished Service Medal, Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Achievement Medal and Navy and Marine Achievement Medal.
