Securitas expands in the U.S. primary government security services market
Paragon Systems, Inc. (a subsidiary of Pinkerton’s Government Services, Inc.), within the Securitas Group, has agreed to acquire the security services company Security Consultants Group, Inc. (SCG) in the USA. With this acquisition, Securitas expands in the primary government security services market in the USA.
 
SCG has annual sales of approximately $106 Million Dollars and approximately 2,000 employees. The company is based in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and operates in 22 U.S. states.
 
SCG specializes in providing high level, armed security officer services to various US Government agencies and facilities protecting vital Federal infrastructure, including US Courthouses, Federal Buildings, Federal offices and four Presidential Libraries.
 
“SCG is one of the leading security services companies in the prime government sector in the U.S. The acquisition is in line with the Securitas Group’s specialization strategy of acquiring high quality security providers that bring knowledge and experience from specialized customer segments”, says Alf Göransson, President and CEO of the Securitas Group.
 
The acquisition is consolidated in Securitas AB as of April 15, 2011.

November 2011 New Headquarters Location

Paragon has moved our corporate headquarters location to Herndon, VA, just east of Dulles International airport.  As of November 1st, the company has transported all functions to this new site, which allows the staff to handle our administrative growth with the merging of SCG into the Paragon back of the house team.  Now all Paragon payroll, human resources, operations accounting and management personnel are co-located and have room to expand, as the company continues down its path of growth in the US Government security services market.  Located at the crossroads of the Dulles Toll Road and Route 28, the new offices are easily accessible from downtown DC, the region and beyond!

 

June 2011 SAFETY ACT Certification

Paragon is proud to announce that the company has been issued a SAFETY ACT certification by the US Department of Homeland Security as of June 17th, 2011!  This hard earned certification provides significant protection for the company and its clients with respect to terrorism liability and is only granted after an extensive and rigorous review of the company's policies, procedures, training approach and management oversight.  It signifies that the US Government has review every aspect of the organization and deemed them worthy of this certification.  This certification reiterates that Paragon is one of the highest caliber security providers in the nation!
 
April 2011 Paragon Re-Awarded DHS HQ

After five years of strong support to the US Government at the Department of Homeland Security headquarters site in the Washington, DC, Paragon is particularly pleased to announce its selection for a five year follow-on contract.  According to Tim Frank, CEO, "The company is proud of the confidence that DHS and FPS have shown in our officers, in our on-site management team,  and in our organization as a whole.
