Paragon Systems Awarded $20 Million Contract in Oregon

Paragon Systems to Provide Security Services for various DHS sites throughout the State of Oregon
 

ATLANTA, Jun 04, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Tri-S Security Corp. (NASDAQ: TRIS), a provider of security services and equipment for government and private entities, today announced its wholly-owned subsidiary, Paragon Systems, Inc. ("Paragon"), has been awarded a new contract with the U.S. Department of the Homeland Security, for the State of Oregon, for $20.0 million. Paragon will begin the contract July 1, 2007 and the contract will run for five years at an estimated $4.0 million per year.

Paragon will provide security for federal government facilities in Portland and 34 other cities throughout the state. Over 100 armed security guards will be deployed throughout the state. This award increases the total awards for Paragon to more than $73.0 million for the first five months of 2007, equaling almost all of its 2006 contract awards.

"Paragon also started its State of Washington contract valued at $30.0 million on June 1 and will begin its Statue of Liberty contract valued at $17.0 million on July 1st, along with the new State of Oregon contract."
