Training & Instruction

Paragon provides its personnel one of the most comprehensive instruction and developmental training programs offered in the industry. Based upon the core principle that an officer will react the way the officer trains, our curriculum is designed to attract, develop, and retain the most highly qualified physical security careerists.

Annually, Paragon officers receive more than 120 hours of classroom, field, weapons, customer relations, and professional advancement instruction.  In addition, each officer receives annual refresher training and recertifies in multiple areas, depending upon their areas of expertise.  Our continuous commitment to instruction and training ensures that Paragon's government clients receive the highest quality and most cost-effective security services available.

The effectiveness of Paragon's instruction and training programs is evidenced by our officers' success qualifying for service as contracted security personnel with the federal government. On their first attempt, over 99% of the candidates sponsored by Paragon Systems successfully pass the federal security officer certification examination administered by the Department of Homeland Security's Federal Protective Service.

Paragon has retained a preeminent corps of instructors who have decades of law enforcement training experience and are state approved and licensed by the appropriate agency for security related and weapons training. Our instructors are certified by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the National Rifle Association, Armament Systems and Procedures, Inc. (A.S.P.) and the American Red Cross.
